GLORIA ALICE LAMBERT LOVE

Gloria Alice Lambert was born October 17, 1943 to the late Leroy Lambert and Lois Jones Lambert in Brunswick County Virginia. Gloria received her formal education in the Brunswick County school system. She attended the English Crossroads Elementary School and the Charlie Hope Elementary School respectively. Later, she attended the city College of San Jose, California earning her two year degree in General Studies. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior. She was baptized at the Taylor’s Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Meredithville, Virginia. A church started by her great-grandfather immediately following emancipation. She never let go of his hand. She enjoyed singing the praises of the Lord. Even at an early age she loved singing praises in Sunday School, on Mother’s Day, Christmas and other special programs. She was married to Earl Love of La Union, New Mexico in April 1964. From that union three children were born, Regina Lambert Love, Dawn Viera Love and Eric La Mar Love. Gloria was employed for IBM, Lockheed Martin, and many other companies throughout the Silicone Valley area. She retired from the Energy transformation Systems Inc. in 2009. On Tuesday September 12, 2016 There was an advertisement for an angel in heaven. He decided to take back what belonged to Him and dispatched a host of angels who met her at the Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, California, and took her to glory for a well deserved rest. She leaves to mourn, her husband Earl Love, her children, Dawn Viera Love, her daughter, and Eric La Mar Love, her son and Linnzi Love, her daughter -in-law; two sisters, Marina Hazel Lambert of Blackstone, Virginia, and Lorraine Marie Lambert McKinney, of Elkridge, Maryland; a brother, Mr. Simon Lambert, and a sister-in-law, Inez Lambert of Blackstone, Virginia. Her Brother Simon was very dear to her. She often referred to him as he loving, sensitive, caring and special brother. She also leaves three half sisters, Mary Yancey and Mae Trotter of Baltimore, Maryland and Barbara Lambert of Blackstone, Virginia; three grandchildren, Akilah Karriem, Paityn Jody Love, and Jonathan Walsh. A loving uncle, Mr. Hubert Taft Jones of Washington, DC. She also leaves to mourn, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; three brothers, Charles Edward Lambert, Truman Eugene Lambert and Elroy Washington Lambert; three sisters, Rev. Marion Lee Lambert Rowlett, Georgianna Lambert, and Lula Mae Lambert Moore; two half brothers, Sterling Lambert and George Lambert.
