MOTHER RICHARDINE L. HUNT

MOTHER RICHARDINE L. HUNT was born in Dumas, Arkansas on September 9, 1923 to Virgil Sr. and Laura Meeks. She was the youngest of nine children. In 1924, the Meeks family relocated and settled in Bakersfield, California. On October 2, 1942, Mother Hunt united in Holy Matrimony with William A Hunt, Sr. in Bakersfield. They are parents of five children: Mother Carolyn Galbraith (Bishop Albert), Pastor William Hunt, Jr. (Lady Gloria), Deacon Michael Hunt, Pastor Jeffery Hunt, Sr. (Lady Pamela) and Deacon Kirk Hunt (Debra). Adding to the Hunt offspring are 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Mother Hunt faithfully served The Church of God in Christ, Inc. for more than 60 years, including 23 years as State Supervisor, Department of Women for Northern California First Jurisdiction. Her services are as follows: Mother will Lie in Repose on Tuesday, February 21 – 4 to 6 pm; Memorial Hour – 6 to 7pm at MORGAN JONES CHAPEL OF CHIMES 4200 BROADWAY, SACRAMENTO. Celebration of Life: Wednesday, February 22 – 10:00am, Progressive COGIC, 2251 Meadowview Road, Sacramento. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Lawn 4701 Marysville Blvd, also in Sacramento.
