Mr. Woodrow Gandy

Woodrow (aka Woody) Gandy was born on April 12, 1931 to the proud parents Woody Gandy and Beulah Gandy in Bessemer Alabama.. Woody was a proud United States Air Force veteran. He also was a jack of many trades. He started an auto club, built antique cars, spun records for a radio station, sold a trainload of cadillacs, bought a gold mine, learned to fly and serviced, repaired, built and installed commercial laundry equipment in laundromats all across California and neighboring states for more than 40 years. But Woody was happiest helping others. He had a very giving spirit that shined brightly throughout his life.    Woody cherished his many friends who were family to him. He loved to laugh and was a great storyteller.  He is survived by his son, Darin Gandy, daughter in-law, Amy Gandy (Patton) and 3 grandchildren, Rebecca Patton; Cloyce Patton and Eriq Gandy and a host of dear friends. Woody touched all and will be  greatly missed.
