Eugene Winfred Myers

Eugene Winfred Myers (aka Geno) was born June 2, 1952, in Pittsburgh Ca. to Alise Y. Miller and James H. Myers Sr. On March 31, 2025 Eugene was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 72. He was baptized at the age of five at First Baptist Church in Colfax La. Presently, Eugene was a dedicated member of Praise Everyday Ministry. He later met Jacklyn Hollis in the spring of 1981, and their bond only grew stronger with time. After years of love, laughter, and building a life together, they were united in marriage in 1995. Their relationship was a true partnership rooted in friendship, faith and unwavering support for one another. Eugene was a family-oriented man whose unconditional love for his family was deep and constant. He was the backbone, the covering, and a safe place for the family. He was always there and always dependable. He was a strong but gentle man that carried his strength with humility. A man of few words because his presence, his kindness, and his faith spoke volumes. With calm and confidence, he would offer guidance that came from experience and spiritual discernment. His words were thoughtful, steady and full of grace. His faith wasn’t just something he spoke about it, but it was how he lived. Eugene was a man of prayer, compassion and quiet strength, always striving to walk in God’s will for his life, which showed by the life he lived.
